Hello Dear All

Try your hands on the linear seating arrangement puzzle similar to the one asked in IBPS PO Prelims 2016 16th October slots. We know that you are in a good position to solve it but, our time bound test enables you to know that in exactly how much time were you able to solve the same. Our tests have been designed in such a way that one knows exactly how much time did he/she spend on the questions which in turn helps them plan and pick variety of questions in the actual exam. Knowing the time we take with each variety of questions, we can save a lot of time in the actual exam by selecting the right questions to solve first.

We request you to take the test and ask your doubts if any in the comments section below the test. We would try and answer your queries as soon as we can….

Welcome to Reasoning Speed Booster for IBPS PO Prelims 2016 - 2

Directions (1-5): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions that follow

Eight friends P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W are sitting in a straight line. Some of them are facing north and some of them are facing south. V sits at the extreme end of the row. R sits fifth to the right of V. There are as many people between R and T as in between T and Q. Members at the extreme ends face in the opposite directions ie; if one faces north, the other would face south or vice-versa. S sits to the third right of T. P and U face in the same direction as W. Neither P nor U is an immediate neighbor of Q and T. Direction of R and S are opposite each other. T is fifth to the right of W. R faces the opposite direction as W. Not more than three people are facing north.

Q.1 Who among the following are facing north?
Q.2 How many persons are sitting between U and R

Q.3 Q is related to R in the same way as R is related to S; which of the following is related to V in the same way?
Q.4 Which of the following are sitting at the extreme ends of the row?
Q.5 If all the friends are arranged in alphabetic order starting from P from the right hand side of the line, W’s position would be?
Directions (6-10): In each of the questions/set of questions below are given statements followed by two conclusions numbered I and II. Study the following and mark your answers as given below.

Q.6 Statement: A > B ≥ C ≥ D; B ≤ E < F; E ≥ G > H
Conclusion: (i) E > C (ii) C = E
Q.7 Statement: L < M ≤ N ≥ O; N ≤ P < Q; R ≤ S ≤ N
Conclusion: (i) Q > O (ii) S < L
Q.8 Statement: Z ≤ Y ≤ X ≤ W; V ≥ W ≤ U
Conclusion: (i) V ≥ Y (ii) Z ≤ U
Q.9 Statement: L < M ≤ N ≥ O; N ≤ P < Q; R ≤ S ≤ N
Conclusion: (i) R ≤ M (ii) P > L
Q.10 Statement: A > B ≥ C ≥ D; B ≤ E < F; E ≥ G > H
Conclusion: (i) B ≤ H (ii) D > F
